Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

TEG provides a high-quality, personalised learning experience for pupils who require a specialist alternative to mainstream education and who are at risk of disengagement or underachievement. The provision is designed to meet the individual needs of pupils who have experienced significant barriers to learning, including social, emotional, mental health and behavioural challenges.

Leaders and staff adopt a holistic, trauma-informed approach that places equal emphasis on academic progress, personal development and wellbeing. A carefully sequenced curriculum is tailored to pupils’ starting points and enables them to make strong progress over time. Targeted interventions and high-quality pastoral support help pupils to build resilience, self-esteem and positive attitudes to learning.

As a result, pupils develop the confidence, skills and knowledge required to achieve appropriate, recognised qualifications. They are well prepared for their next steps, with clear, well-planned transitions into further education, training or employment.
